Fisheye Lenses

Peleng 3.5/8 Fisheye
(EOS, MF)

Construction: ****
Condition: A-

Elements/groups: 11/7
Optical Performance: 8 /10
Estimated value (mint): € 200,-

Highlights: optical performance, price, built

Downsides: flares

"Wow! The Peleng (my copy has a fixed EOS-adapter) is absolut fun to use. Of course you have lens flares, but then, this is an 8mm fisheye! It is crisp and offers an overwhelming perspective. Compared to other lenses of this angle, it is a bargain. Go for it!"

Zenitar 2.8/16 Fisheye
(M42)

Construction: *****
Condition: A-

Elements/groups: 10/7
Optical Performance: 8 /10
Estimated value (mint): € 146,-

Highlights: optical performance, price, built

Downsides: some minor corner issues when wide open

"That was my first fisheye. Nice at film cameras, but the fisheye effect is reduced at digital crop SLRs. Still well built and fun to use with a really good picture quality (and much lower danger of flares than the Peleng)."
